NCSOFT held a new live stream dedicated to AION 2, revealing important updates, balance changes, and plans for the upcoming weeks. Although the broadcast was shorter than usual, developers shared a significant amount of information regarding PvP, class adjustments, and future content.
The stream was hosted by producer Kim Nam Jun, who apologized for his condition due to illness, alongside business team representative So In Sop. Despite the shorter format, the developers addressed multiple community concerns and confirmed that they will continue to follow their original development roadmap regardless of external factors.
One of the most discussed topics was the issue of accuracy stats. Developers confirmed that there were no technical bugs, but acknowledged imbalance between classes. As a result, accuracy for most classes will be increased, while Gladiators will see a reduction to bring all classes to the same baseline.
To compensate, Gladiators will receive improvements to their survivability through increased resistance stats, while stealth mechanics for Assassins and Rangers will be slightly adjusted to improve gameplay consistency.
Significant changes are coming to PvP mechanics. Due to recent stat separation between PvE and PvP attributes, players were reaching maximum effectiveness too quickly.
The developers decided to remove the hard cap on PvP stats. At the same time, a minimum damage threshold of 20% will be introduced to prevent prolonged fights with minimal damage output.
Several classes will receive important updates:
Additionally, healers will receive longer cooldowns on strong healing abilities but increased healing power to encourage more tactical gameplay.
The update will also introduce several gameplay improvements. Expedition rewards will now include more equipment items to balance progression.
In the Abyss, flight will be restricted on certain levels, and terrain changes will be implemented to remove unfair advantages.
The boss Tassin will return in Nightmare mode with updated mechanics designed to prevent exploit strategies and safe-zone abuse.
The developers confirmed that no major content update is planned for early May, with only scheduled maintenance expected. However, a larger update will arrive mid-May, introducing new difficulty modes, interface improvements, and quality-of-life changes.
Players can expect enhancements to chat systems, buff tracking, and overall gameplay clarity.
Several new events will begin alongside the update, allowing players to earn rewards through gameplay activity, daily login bonuses, and event progression systems.
In addition, players will receive compensation rewards, including premium resources, reset items, and daily bonuses over a limited period.
AION 2 continues to evolve with regular updates, and player feedback remains a key part of the development process. As interest in MMORPG servers and competitive gameplay grows, updates like this play an important role in maintaining balance and long-term engagement.
